suz's muses

finally got around to uploading, so here they be.

it's a lot more grown-in now and could use a good weeding. here's a pile o' lettuce i brought in yesterday. best dang salad lettuc i've ever grown, red and green butter with a little ruby red chard and spinach. all getting ready to bolt, though.

this morning i spent two hours learning how to milk a very patient cow. sandi can get a full bucket in about 20 minutes, but in all the time i sat there laboriously squeezing this poor cow's tits i barely got a gallon, and that was with sandi taking pity on me occasionally and taking over. it's HARD! i have a whole new respect for milkmaids.
now i seriously need a nap.
